Eternally Greatful

My life…It twisted, tossed and turned
Visions of happiness eternally burned
Inside my mind I wasn’t alive
I knew in my soul, I wouldn’t survive.
A chance was then given to me by my father above
The one who protects me in all of his Love
A strong sense of awakening took over me
I was alive, I could still breathe…
Amazingly so, I escaped death..
I inhaled the gift of air in every new breath
I thank you, I thank you, I thank you so…
Without your protection, no where could I go..
But your mercy and benevolence make you grand..
Therefore today because of you, here I stand!

Winter Short

The smell of Winter brings delight
That open road of winter white..
The sun glistening on crystal trees..
The briskness of that winter breeze
Creating memories in the snow..
While the Love for life in you does grow..

Lost in Life

The pains, the aches, where did she go?
She's not the same one she used to know
She was so vibrant, so happy, so free
She sits and reflects on who she used to be
The clock kept ticking and swept her away..
Took her away from that youthful day..
And as she extended her arms to bring it all back..
Life kept hitting her with another attack!
She fights back, crawling to reach the light..
But life keeps giving her the same damn fight!
Then her heart cries out and re-fuels her soul..
and helps her return to that youthful goal!
