Friends Like Poetry

You know I remember being a teenager and writing about all sorts of things, like feelings, emotions and day dreams. Writing about things that made me feel bad, sad, frustrated, but also writing about things that made me feel happy, excited, blessed and so much more. Writing to me is a tool, a tool that lets me express my self, even if I hide from the rest of the world and they cannot read my expressions, writing is my way of having someone to talk to. Sometimes we have friends in life that understand one facet about you. Having so many friends enables you to be your self 100% because each friend can relate to all of your different facets of life. Maybe when sad there is a friend who can listen. Maybe when you want to express your creativity there is a friend who is there to cheer you on. If you are looking to feel Jazzy and Fun, there’s always that friend that’s a step ahead of you on the dance floor. Even when you want to sit and drink hot tea and feel mature and responsible and peaceful – there will always be that friend that sits there the whole afternoon with you and continues to pour that tea over and over again – and she never feels like its time to leave. When I write, the paper is like a canvas of friends – only because I can express any facet of my life and truly be understood!
